Table Top Views in: Cape Town, South Africa

Hallo!

During this trip I decided to hike the beautiful Table Mountain, which took up most of my day to be honest. Although I was the last of 6 to start the climb and the first to finish in under 75 minutes, which I think is quite impressive on my part 😉

The climb is not exactly easy, as it is very steep in most parts, and doesn’t have a proper path either so a lot of climbing over big rocks is involved. There is the option to take the cable car up to the top, for the more faint-hearted. But I am a very determined individual, and was not letting the difficulty of hiking up the mountain stop me from doing so. The view was well worth the climb. Only thing I would have done differently would to have brought a jacket, as it was damn well chilly up there. Here are some pictures from the top, although they don’t really do the view justice.

Needless to say, when you’ve hiked a 1,085 metre high mountain, straight after coming working a nine and a half hour flight, I was exhausted. I spent the rest of the layover in bed, sleeping and aching! Plenty more to see and do in Cape Town, it’s a shame we don’t get more than 24 hours at this destination! No doubt I will be bidding for this destination again in the future 🙂

Totsiens!
